About Rob Williams

I run a small company, LAN-Tech, which due to the nature of the businesses served, primarily focuses on networking, and more specifically remote access and management. My initial training began in the 70’s using punch cards, doing basic programming with Fortran, APL, and Algol. Since that time I spent 10 years in sales, 10 years in the commercial construction industry, and then in 1998 with some previous experience in electronics, I started a company doing physical network troubleshooting, primarily the cabling infrastructure. This quickly led to the need to troubleshoot the balance of the network and servers. A few years later I branched into network support for numerous small companies mostly of 10-200 networked devices. Recently clients and personal curiosity have led me to more involvement with SBS, EBS, and virtualization. I can often be found participating on the Experts-Exchange forum assisting with network, SBS, and server 2003 related issues, using the alias of RobWill [http://www.experts-exchange.com/M_877631.html ].
