Visual Studio 2008 "How Do I" Videos

If you're interested in seeing some of the new features of Visual Studio 2008 in action, you should check out the series of "How Do I" videos at http://www.visualstudio2008beta.com/videos.htm. There are 13 up there now and more will be added every week. If you want to play along, head on over to http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/aa700831.aspx and download a copy of Beta 2 for yourself.

I don't know about others, but I am starting to become annoyed with the proliferation of videos on MSDN.  I'd love to actually get the content of this and other videos in a transcript, or written form.  The videos take too long to watch, are not searchable, and can't be copied into a document to use as a reference.  I miss the days the MSDN used to post it's weekly technical articals right on the front page as they were published.  It seems everything is being pushed into a video format and I'm losing a lot of the value I used to get from MSDN.  There are many things posted that I would like to check out, but I just can't deal with the videos.

If you use Google or Live Search you should find articles, blog posts, tutorials, or walkthroughs that cover the same material as the videos.

Just a couple examples from my videos. One (that has yet to be published) was based on this walkthrough:

Walkthrough: Collecting Data Using a Windows Form (msdn2.microsoft.com/.../f1wckde0(VS.80).aspx)

Another was based on this article:

Getting Started with Windows Communication Foundation (msdn2.microsoft.com/.../bb736015.aspx)

In the future I'll try to mention a reference or two to  external text resources at the end of my videos.
