Attendance Jump at Last Night's TVBUG Meeting

We had a nice attendance jump at last night's Toronto Visual Basic User Group (TVBUG) meeting. We've been averaging about 40 to 60 people per meeting for the last year but we had just over 100 last night, about half of those being first time attendees.

The User Group community in this city continues to amaze me. Even as Kate Gregory establishes the sixth .NET group in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), our group and others continue to see a growth in attendance. The support from Craig Flannagan of MSDN Canada and the vigorous group cross-promotion is building a collective membership base that may end up being the largest for any city in the world.

Very exciting times...

OK, I'm in

I didn't want to be the only one in town without a blog...

Actually, I really want to start writing some technical articles and perhaps (one day) a book and I thought this would be the best way to dip my toes in the water.

Hopefully I'll think of some really interesting and compelling things to write about and evolve this into a usefull and interesting site. Even if I don't I'm sure my Mom is going to be the only one to read this crap anyway and she'll tell me it's interesting and compelling, right Mom?

Welcome to my blog. Enjoy!
