Uhhh, you're kidding right?

I know some men that pretty much refuse to buy feminine products for their significant others b/c they can't take the embarrassment.  Personally, I always wondered a little about them b/c it seems you really have to feel shaky in your manhood to let something like that get to you.  It also seems as unwise as it is uncool, I mean, would the time you were asked to make such a purchase really be the time you wanted to anger your significant other?  Not me.

So feminine products are fine with me, but there's no way in hell I'd ever be talked into buying this (It's a real food product from a well known company and is sold on on Amazon but it does have that NSFW vibe to it). Whoever named this stuff is either the biggest moron on Earth or is pretty clever with a wicked sense of humor.  And I'm pretty sure that no matter how tough you look, if you get caught buying this stuff more than once, you're manhood is getting questioned.

I'm glad this stuff wasn't for sale back when I was pledging my fraternity.  They had us buy so many embarrassing things, this would have been on the daily purchase list as well as the daily consumption list. I totally dodged a bullet.

Actually, it's been around for a long time, though it never really caught on here in the states. Like many other slang terms, it has different meaning in the UK (same goes for "***", "bum", "pudding", etc).

And in fact, the wikipedia description sounds exceptionally tasty: en.wikipedia.org/.../Spotted_dick

I will have to look for it on the menus next time I am in the UK.

Hey Bill,

man - that's an OOOOOLDDDD product...way old..i've even tasted it.

and i'm not entirely sure if i'm abnormal in the head or somesuch, but i've never had any problems buying female products (tampons, condoms etc)..not phased by it to be honest.

maybe my inhibitions are way out the window - god knows i've been married long enough that i should have been exposed to everything a female can throw at you...or have i?

Actually, there is one thing i've never bought for a woman...and hopefully never will - vaginal fungus creme...for some reason that phreaks me out totally and seeing the ads on TV sometimes throws up some mind blanks/blackouts for a couple of minutes..

other than that...not fussed

When I was in the Marines and stationed at Camp Pendleton they used to get these cute young girls about 16 or 17 years old as checkers at the px. Whenever we saw a new one a bunch of us would all buy p0rn mags and big cans of Vaseline and make them ring it up for us to make them get all embarrassed. Some of them would get so flustered they couldn't ring us up and the px manager would get mad at us for f#cking with the new girl. So yeah I would have to say I have no problem buying embarrassing stuff :)
