Never a dull moment in the life of Bill

Earlier this week, I got really sick.  When I say really sick, I mean really really zombified can't get out of bed sick.  I started to get up and around yesterday and have been fairly functional today although still not feeling all that well.  That's not the interesting part though...

I was driving back to Atlanta and was making remarkable time.  Until I got into Atlanta.  Then, traffic was Atlanta at it's finest.  I bought a bunch of new CD's so I wasn't all that annoyed but traffic always sucks.  Then, about 4 miles before merging onto I- 285 I see an Amber Alert. "Silver 2006 Dodge Magnum - No License Details".  Traffic is really slow and you can't miss this sign.  RIght about the time I think to myself "Hey, that's what I'm driving" I see everyone, and I mean everyone, around me looking at me funny.  Normally I just attribute people looking at me to my dorkiness but this time was different.  So a few minutes later traffic clears, I'm off on I-285 heading home sweet home and I see a State Trooper on the right hand side of the road with his lights on starting to speed up.  I pass him, he shoots out behind me and the lights start flashing.

So we go through the basic drill and he's looking all around the car.  I told him "Look, I know this is the match of the vehicle in the Amber alert, if you need to look in the trunk or whatever, go ahead. He takes me up on the offer, thanks me for my cooperation and off I go.

At least in my case, I"m never at a loss for intrigue

Glad to hear you're feeling better, even if you are on the run from the law. :-) Sure missed you at the code camp.

Now, if that were me, I might have said "Go ahead and check my trunk. I ditched my stash the minute I saw the amber alert"

What can I say. I LOVE to stir the pot.  Somewhere in there I would have then pointed him to ammendment 4 of my pocket constitution.

T- you don't have that "I just know this guy did something wrong" aura that I seem to exude.  If I pulled that on the cop, I'm quite sure he'd take me way more serious than I'd like.
