A little intrigue at Defcon
I came across this earlier today. I newsbabe who thought she was a little smarter than she really was made a complete fool of herself at Defcon. It's a short little article, but there are so many great points that are dead on. Seems like the media collectively is determined to anger every single possible demographic there is to anger , and with a few more stupid stunts like this, they'll no doubt succeed.
As an aside: The manager that decided to send her to Defcon is really brilliant. I know when I saw her picture, the first thing that ran through my mind was "Yah buddy, no one would ever suspect someone that looked like that". I'm certainly not in the hacker scene, but from what I know of them, they are pretty suspicous of LE and the like showing up. Somehow I don't think they are going to be snowed.
