A reprieve from Paris-Mania
I've had a ton of projects I had to get caught up on this weekend. That means that for most of yesterday, I was typing away on my notebook with XM Radio in the background. Weekends are really bad on XM because they usually play mostly reruns of shows from the past week (at least on the news/talk shows). After about the 4th hour of Straight Paris Hilton coverage, I was about to go nuts. Today it was the same ****. I actually wanted to go cut my own grass in 100 degree heat just to get away from it. I know, I could just shut the radio off, but I'm sort of at a point of state dependent learning with it - I'm just so used to having it on in the background.
There really aren't many things I care about less than Paris Hilton. Why is this even a story? People go to Jail every freaking day for DUI. Why is it different with her? I admit that her release was newsworthy to some extent, but still ranked maybe a .01 on the "Matters" scale. I think the best way for Punish Paris for a DUI or whatever other discretion is to just ignore her. She's boring, stupid and annoying. I started to wish Barbie Cummings would get another ticket or something b/c at least she's entertaining and funny (no Barbie, I'm not really hoping for you to get a ticket, just trying to make a point that at least when you're in the news, it's cool).
After further thought , I really don't think there is much that is more annoying than Paris. If there is, I'm pretty hard pressed to find it.
