I don't know what it is, but I want one

Earlier, I was reading a post from the Drudgereport linking to a blog post from Michael Yon.  As is often the case when one gets linked to from Drudge, Yon's server went down.  If you aren't familiar with Yon, he's a milblogger who has some really interesting posts and even cooler pictures.  This post, titled "What in the world is this?" was another sight to behold b/c that "this" he's asking about is shown below:

I thought the Coors Party Ball and 3 Man Water Balloon Launcher and fraternity parties were the ultimate way to have fun at college, but I have to say I think one of these would have added a lot of entertainment value.

It looks like a home made rpg launcher with a cheap rifle scope mounted to it.

So you think this is just some homemade thingy?  If so, you gotta show me how to make one ;-)

How goes it homie ;-)

Stuff like this was used by the afgan mujahadeen. They modify the fuse to go off before it hits the target and they used them to shoot down Russian helicopters. If that was found in Iraq my guess is they are pulling the same thing only now it's American helicopters they are trying to shoot down.
