Could she possibly be any more annoying...

A buddy of mine just sent me a link to one of The most annoying people I've ever seen . I don't watch tv much let alone American Idol and from the looks of it, doesn't like like I'm going to start any time soon.  Part of the reason I find this so amusing is b/c I had a friend/former coworker who's entire existence revolved around watching TV.  I'm the polar opposite and were it not for SouthPark, I doubt I'd ever even watch TV.  We worked together back when Survivor first came out and he absolutely loved it as well as every other 'Reality' show.  He's insist that reality shows were 'real' and that there was absolutely 0% chance that the contestants acted the way they did b/c they were being filmed.  There was some predecessor show where they were picking an all girl singing group and it every week they'd boot a bunch of people off. Then they'd interview the ones that hadn't gotten booted and they'd be crying for joy, the losers would be crying as well.  It was so cheesy that it hurt.  Every time I'd go over to his house, he'd insist that I just give it another try, just for 15 minutes and every time, I realized how much I hated reality shows (and TV in general).  Jeffrey, if you're reading this, please look at the above video and tell me that this chick isn't playing it up for the camera.  She's got to be, no one could possibly be this obnoxious or annoying without trying to play the part

Damn... where do I apply to get that 3 minutes of my life back?

I haven't even watched the clip but, a friend of mine once made it far enough into the American Idol process that they asked her to sign a contract before continuing on with the show. After reading over the contract she told them she wouldn't sign it.

The contract was ridiculous. It had stuff in there that basically said, "American Idol can fabricate anything about you or family/relatives in order to add drama to the publicity of the show." and crap like that. It's about as "reality" as us all winning the lottery is.

Skicow - what would be worse, having that for a wife, mom or daughter? That'd be a decision like one I heard Howard Stern ask "If you had to chose, would you rather have your _____ smashed with a hammer, have sex with Whoopi Goldberg or have it with Rosy O'Donnell'? Talk about a no win situation.

Mr Pody - Sorry about that - I posted it under Humor but it was more ghastly than funny.

Jason - somehow that doesn't surprise me at all. It's like the whole "Hunting for Bambi" thing. For like 3 weeks I heard everyone talking about it and how 'real' it was and the whole time you knew it was B.S. And after seeing what the Bo Bice dude looked like, any desire I had to even try to see if it seemed real or not went right out the window.

She represents the best of what my city, Charlotte, is all about. Seriously, I wish we could disown that

DoubleI,

There you have it. If it wasn't obvious, it should be now.

Please combine this post with your previous post on Microsoft Speech Server. I believe that the aforementioned clip contains examples currently not found in the Speech Server Samples and would make fantastic examples in your book. In particular, has anyone written a speech-censorship plug-in that allows for automatic bleeping?

This, of course, is only a down-payment on compensatory damages that you owe all of your blog readers for robbing them of three precious minutes of their lives. I share mrpbody's pain.

It gets better. She apparently has a pretty good relationship with the Mecklenburg county PD. Thanks to the John Boy & Billy show for the links.

Who'd have thought a classy lady like this would have had run ins with the cops. Wow <gasp>. On a serious note, my heart goes out to the poor SOB that dates/marries her, or even worse, imagine having a mom like that. That would be THE Worst.
