Where in the World

Well, after a flight from h3ll, I finally made it to Redmond.  Looks like I'll be here for the week working with the Sql Server team which promises to be quite a bit of fun.  I've been to Redmond a bunch but never stayed in Bellvue. Unfortunately I won't be staying at W Hotel (which btw, Sahil is as only as nice as the Motel 6 - then again he doesn't like Tablet PC's either), instead I'm staying at the Homestead right next to the MS campus.  I went wandering around just to check out the area and there are multiple convenience stores open 24/7, there's even a real 7/11.

Tobin Titus is coming up tomorrow.  Just got word he won the MVP Nomination for C#.  I got the good news today that I got renewed, that makes 3 in a row which rocks.  I noticed Chris Williams got awarded too (Hey Chris, where'd did you hear it first ;-) ), Gotta read through the blogs to find out who else  I know that may have got one .

Anyway, gotta get ready for tomorrow.  Besides, I made the mistake of turning the TV on and I'm about to Barf.  BTW, how come none of you guys tipped me off the "The L Word"?  Damn it looks  cool. A hell of a lot better than watching the ORielly factor ;-(

Hey Bill, a friend of mine who lives up in Redmond just told me the Diet Coke is free on the campus. Now we know the real reason you were excited about the trip :-P

Andy - yah, all soda is free on campus which is saving me a fortune. + they have like 20 Indian restaurants and 20 Thai places in Bellevue alone which is like a dream come true. I got lucky and got a paid day off today and probably drank wayyy too much diet coke and ate too much, so I need to unwind and hit the new Tarantino movie ;-) P.S. Where does your boy work?

Thanks Tobin - gimme a buzz later. When are you leaving btw?

Thanks Sahil. The program is a lot cooler with you in it, glad to be a part of it for another year

He actually works for Siemens doing PC support for MS. He's in the laptop repair dept. Said his building is across the street from the conference center.
