Ego Surfing

Published Sat, Jul 30 2005 16:08 | William

I was doing some Googling (not intentionally ego surfing) and I came across a few of my blog entires on some ADO.NET 2.0 Stuff.  So that got me thinking about what else I might come across if I was specifically looking for it..

Yes, I have much better thigns to do on a Saturday but ego surfing can get addictive.

I have two very specific RSS feeds that automatically do it for me. :)

Feedster: http://feedster.com/search.php?q="Michael+Earls"&sort=&ie=UTF-8&hl=&content=full&type=rss&limit=15

MSN Search: http://beta.search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=Michael+Earls&format=rss&count=20

Very handy to read when other people flame you or write nice things about you. It's good to be able to respond personally. Especially when you don't read all of the people who read you.

I know J . I spelled it wrong so that's why I got the high ranking there. Even though you're kicking my butt on google juice in a lot of areas, well, it's ok as long as it's you or Sahil since both you are rock.

You know, since my name is Bill Ryan, a few jobs I've had have given me BRyan@_____.com as an email address. So everyone thought my name was Brian. And even now, I get a lot of folks that think my name is Ryan William so I get called Mr Williams or Ryan all the time. Those misspellings can be a real drag ;-)
