Disabling the CAPTCHA for a while.

Many of my homies and Scott in particular (as well as myself) have been annoyed by the Captcha (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart).  It definitely does it's job, but it also has a lot of false negatives and it's pretty much a treat to get a reply to actually work on the first two attempts. Anyway, most of the skins have the CAPTCHA activated.  However I was chilling with my Homie Sameer and showing him how blogging engines work.  When I selected the OneNote skin, I noticed that there was no CAPTCHA AND AND AND that we can post replies without it.  So, at least for the time being, I'm going with the OneNote skin and disabling the CAPTCHA.  If the spammers get to brutal then I'll have to put it back, but recently the complaints have been increasing (and I myself have had a ton of trouble replying to my own posts) so I'm disabling it.  Plus the OneNote skin looks pretty cool.

Thanks,

On that OneNote, please note, that U mis-spelled your own name in the link on the authentic picture of Cuukoo visiting Microsoft.

Thanks Roland. But remember, they usually refer to themselves as the Cuckooz (they use their beaks and wings which lack opposing thumbs to type on the keyboard, so they misspell quite a bit of stuff).

The "One Note" skin is indeed the only skin on the MVP blog collection that is capcha free.

I still need to upgrade to community skin but just haven't had the time.

thanks for being patient.

Susan - I came across it by accident, but like I posted afterward, I got nailed by SPAM immediately. The CAPTCHA has some drawbacks but SPAM is a nightmare. I got a few complaints about some folks that couldn't post, but I'm not sure that I'll be able to go CAPTHCA free b/c the spammers are great.

Most importantly though - you are the best for providing this site. There's no thanks for my patience, all the thanks goes to you for hosting it for us (and all the crap that I caused you b/c of my being an idiot). And to be honest, although my friends are making fun of me b/c of the OneNote colors, I really like it and think it's my favorite.

Thanks again for everything Susan - you're the best. Are you going to the Summit btw? If so, we definitely have to get together - I owe you a beer or two at minimum ;-)
