I somehow think of this similar to the mom in a grocery store that gives their kid a toy so they will quit throwing a temper tantrum in the store.

Truth be told, that kid, and the VB6 developers would be better served by saying "No!"

Bill, this resource center is stupid. It's setup AFTER supports ends (free support). Who cooks that up? Also, if they'd listen, they would release the hotfixes still available from PSS which are created AFTER SP6 for VB6. :)

I see no use for this resource center, as what would be added to it for NEW content? probably nothing. I was against the petition, still am, but this resource center is even sillyer :)

Frans - Stupid is probably just the word I'd use. Not the fact that Microsoft did it - but that people will be satisfied - I couldn't state the reasons any more clearly than you did.

the petition was just so silly.

I posted my thoughts on this over on my blog as they are to long for just a comment.
