From C# to Counter Proflieration, I'm your guy
On which one?
All of them - I don't think I've ever seen him be wrong with the possible exception of the Stored Proc issue
I don't think he's always right moreso than I simply think he can argue his way out of a brown paper bag underneath the belly of a 747 in mid flight to America. As the TSA agents attempt to bring him down, he could probably talk them into giving him a green card or something equally impressive though I'd doubt he'd want to live here given the recent election results.
That's a pretty good description. He doesn't tend to step into arguments he's unprepared for, and he's pretty quick on his feet. I've seen Frans do a real number on some folks that were clearly agitating him in newsgroups, and they made the mistake of being totally on the wrong side of the issue. It was just ugly. And the worst part is that they kept coming at back at him with weaker and weaker points and he was just swatting them out of the park. I think I know what you are referring to about the election results, he got in it with someone over on weblogs.asp.net right after the election. However I think if you read him enough - Frans is a pretty good sport about stuff. He and I are on different parts of the political spectrum but I've found when I've spoken with him that he's pretty respectful of differing viewpoints. I think one of his quotes was "I'm pretty far to the left over here, so by American standards I'm really left wing'. But compared with a lot of folks I've rapped with over here, they'd accuse Frans of being Adam Smith. Totally depends on what issue you're rapping with him about. Gotta admit though, watching the ways he handles himself in discussions and arguments is pretty impressive. If I was the TSA guy, I know he could probably talk me into a greencard before I knew what happened.
