A few days ago, a friend of mine and I were working on some alternate ways to access/manipulate .config files and he had done a cool write up of it over at www.kjmsolutions . Anyway, as he was doing some more reasearch, he came across the IsolatedStorageClass...

I got an iMATE PocketPC Phone edition phone about a month ago. At the time I didn't even know what it was. Now I don't know how I could have lived without it. Visual Studio Magazine has earned 200 cool points in my book by featuring a Special Report in...

The French aren't all bad

As much as I usually get mad every time I hear a French politician speak, I have to admit something, I've met quite a few French people in my life, and I can't think of one of them that I didn't like (well, there was one, but French people didn't seem...

The Wonders of the Georgia Lottery - 'Play your Change'

I'm actually seriously thinking about letting my new iMATE run in video mode on a Friday afternoon at my friend's store. If I don't get it on tape no one would believe me. Geogia has this thing called "Play your change" which allows you to purchase $0...
Stealing people's code, and doing a terrible job of it

Check out this link http://www.kjmsolutions.com/datasetarray.htm which was posted at KJM Solutions about a year ago. Now, check out this code posted by “Vinod” claiming to be his. You'll notice that he didn't even change the frigging comments - just stone...

Not too long ago I got a www.xtras.net subscription and all I can say is I wish I'd have known about it earlier. Since things are greatly discounted there (and not the OEM spam crap but legit discounts) I'm willing to try stuff I might hestitate to otherwise...
A few other reflections on Immigration...

I love the US and wouldn't want to live anywhere else, but every time I get to thinking about the way we behave when it comes to international trade, I get a little embarassed. How long ago was it that we were hearing about how Japan was going to take...
An interesting solution to the Outsourcing 'Problem'
Published Tue, May 18 2004 8:43 |
William
As a radical free market type of guy, I tend to get embarassed when I hear people whining about outsourcing. We aren't owed jobs and we don't own them. If you can't find a job you need to learn a few new tricks, plain and simple. Few of the anti-outsourcing...

I really should be in bed right now, but I just had to start playing with System.XML 2.0. As I flipped through my feedback section, it looked like just about everyone was on Casey's side on this one but there was too much clear thinking going on I guess...
