SEX PISTOLS THROW DOWN GUITAR HERO III CHALLENGE TO GAMERS ON XBOX 360™
Legendary punk guitarist Steve Jones plays gamers from across Europe via Xbox LIVE®
15th November 2007 –Microsoft® today revealed that punk superstar, Steve Jones from legendary band The Sex Pistols, will be jamming with gamers from across Europe in a unique Game with Fame event on Guitar Hero™ III: Legends of Rock as part of the Xtival 07, LIVE Free weekend.
Steve will be picking up his guitar and logging on to Xbox LIVE® on Saturday 24th November at 20.00 UK / 21.00 Europe to play with selected gamers from across Europe, taking on hits new and old from the hotly anticipated new title. To be in with a chance to join Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols online for this unique event gamers simply need to download the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock demo from Xbox LIVE, get practicing and email their details and a photograph of their high score to the event organisers, telling Steve Jones why they want to play with him.
The lucky gamers across Europe will be sent a copy of the latest title and game guitar ready to rip it up on Xbox LIVE, and the top three selected to join Steve online will be emailed all the details they need to take part in the event. The gamer with the top score from this Game with Fame session will be crowned by Steve as European Champion and win a guitar signed by Steve Jones himself.

The Game with Fame is just part of Xtival ’07, a 72 hour festival of gaming, competitions and exclusive downloads, bringing the wonders of Xbox LIVE Gold membership, free to everyone for one weekend. The invitation for Xbox 360™ owners to tune up and log in to the amazing line up of gaming and music themed fun was today thrown open to the millions of Xbox 360 owners across Europe from Friday 23rd until Monday 26th November.

Xtival ‘O7 will give everyone the chance to play and chat with their friends online and then beat them into the ground on the latest next generation, high definition Xbox 360 titles.
How to take part
Simply log on to Xbox LIVE now and download the Guitar Hero III demo.
