TR1GG3R MAN intervista Giolain

TR1GG3R MAN intervista Giolain, utente dei forum Xbox.com!

  • TR1GG3R MAN: Come ti chiami?
    Giolain: Giorgio

  • TR1GG3R MAN: Quanti anni hai?
    Giolain: 28

  • TR1GG3R MAN: Di dove sei?
Giolain: Lainate in provincia di Milano

  • TR1GG3R MAN: Cosa fai nella vita? Studi? Lavori?

  • TR1GG3R MAN: Da quanto tempo sei membro della Community Xbox?

  • TR1GG3R MAN: Come e’ nato il tuo Gamertag?

  • TR1GG3R MAN: In media quanto tempo dedichi ad Xbox?

  • TR1GG3R MAN: Cosa ne pensi di Messenger su Xbox 360?
Giolain: Mah non saprei, io non l’ho mai usato....

  • TR1GG3R MAN: Sei soddisfatto di Xbox Live?

  • TR1GG3R MAN: Hai altre passioni oltre a Xbox?

  • TR1GG3R MAN: Ciao Giolain, a presto!

XCN: Tenchu Z Q&A with Duane Colbert
Tenchu Z Q&A for Xbox Community Network
Answered By: Duane Colbert, Global Product Manager, Xbox

How does Tenchu Z let you master your environment?
  • Tenchu Z is a ninja stealth action game where you customize your own ninja and complete over 50 missions set in Ancient Japan on your way to becoming the ultimate ninja assassin. You master your environment by mastering the ancient art of stealth, knowing how to use the surroundings to your benefit, and completing missions that enable you to buy and make the best use of a variety of ninja accessories. Master the right accessory for the right task at hand and master the stealth kill for best results.
How does Tenchu Z evolve the action of the previous games in the series?
  • The combat has been definitely been stepped up in Tenchu Z because of the focus on stealth game play. When you are surrounded by a group, they should be hard to beat just like in real life. If you make good use of the various actions, ninja accessories and power ups, you can avoid that situation. Another change is the multiplayer mode and character customization aspect.
Why is stealth so important to Tenchu Z?
  • The Tenchu series has been evolving steadily as a ninja-themed, stealth action game. Its strengths include the stealth moves and features that convey the stoic nature of real ninjas. Players must constantly monitor their “Ki-Meter” to ensure they remain undetected via sight, sound or even smell. The point system is such that you are rewarded for stealth kills and conversely are deducted points for every second you are being actively detected or are attempting non-stealth hand to hand combat.
We’ve heard that your enemies can smell you in Tenchu Z. How does this work?
  • As you play, you can pickup scents from blood spatters, falling into soiled waters or walking through chicken coops that will cause your enemies to detect you via your rank odour! There are also dogs throughout some levels that will detect this smell and alert others to your location if you aren’t careful or don’t use the ninja cleansing accessory.
Why is it cool to be a ninja in Tenchu Z?
  • Who doesn’t like to be a ninja? In addition to all the cool, yet simple to execute stealth kill moves, players get to customize their ninja to their liking. You can customize your ninja’s appearance through a selection of gender, face types, hair features, tattoos, outfits and clothing accessories and further adjust your ninja’s attributes that include vitality, strength and agility. You can also select the type of attack your character will specialize in and optimize your skills with exciting combination moves. Additionally, abilities can be increased with new moves available for purchase through gold coins awarded for successful missions.
Some of the stealth kills are pretty gory – can you explain how they work and what kind of results players will get?
  • If you aren’t into blood, this can be toggled off in the options menu. All the stealth kills are context sensitive… so depending on your approach and position, you’ll see a different result. All the kills are easy to execute with a single button push when you see the stealth kill mark on the screen. Essentially just use your mastery of stealth to sneak up on your enemies, and a circle of 9 Japanese characters will appear on-screen when you are close enough to perform a stealth kill. Just press a single button and sit back and enjoy your cool moves.  How you choose to handle your sword now directly relates to your ability to remain silent. Sheath your weapon to remain hidden or unsheathe it attack your enemies. A variety of stealth-kill options are available so that you can sneak attack an opponent from behind, while hanging from the ceiling, through a door or screen, or even from under the floor. The new double kill technique allows you to eliminate multiple opponents without sacrificing your stealth.
What other kinds of cool stealthy moves can you pull off in Tenchu Z?
  • You can use your grappling hook to hop up to the rooftops to get above the action and choose your targets wisely, or just squat down in a bush, peek around corners, or use one of your trusty ninja accessories to distract or subdue your foe.
How does Tenchu Z’s Xbox Live mode work?
  • There’s new co-op play in Tenchu Z where the players can help one another complete the mission or partner on individual kills along the way. For example, one player could act as a decoy as the other player sneaks come from another direction to sneak up from behind an unsuspecting enemy. This requires good teamwork and smart tactics. Of course, players can choose to disrupt other players or act on their own, but the outcome will not be favourable since the missions are designed to reward team success over individual success.

XCN: Vampire Rain Q&A with Duane Colbert
Vampire Rain Q&A for Xbox Community Network
Answered By: Duane Colbert, Global Product Manager, Xbox

How does Vampire Rain let you master your environment?
  • Vampire Rain is a stealth horror shooter where you must lead a special forces unit to secretly eliminate Nightwalkers, a new highly evolved form of Vampires, in a city where rain, darkness and stealth are their allies. These Nightwalkers are set to become one of the deadliest  supernatural enemies ever encountered in a console game. To stay alive you’ll need to master your environment by to navigating the rainy city, by knowing when to engage and when to avoid your lethal enemies, and by using your surroundings to help you carry out stealth kills.
Where is Vampire Rain set, and what is the story of the game?
  • Vampire Rain captures a night of events, a fragment of a long battle history between mankind and vampires who are called Nightwalkers.  The story takes place in a West Coast city in the United States. The city looks like an ordinary one which you may find anywhere on the West Coast, but when the night falls, the city is occupied by Nightwalkers.
Several humans disperse into the night, every night. The fortunate ones are found dead. Those who are less fortunate return to knock on the door of their family’s home, under the cloak of darkness. Mankind is determined not to stay victims to those creatures, and one US government bureau establishes a special combat unit for Nightwalker elimination with the slogan of “a fang for a fang,” which unfolds a silent but deadly battle against Nightwalkers in the darkness of night.
In the single player mode, you will play as a protagonist John Lloyd, a member of a special unit and witness a series of the events that happens in one night. You won’t be controlling other characters in the single player mode. In Xbox Live multiplayer mode, on the other hand, you can play as John Lloyd’s other 3 teammates and also as a Nightwalker.
What kind of high-tech gadgets can you use in the game?
  • The weapons will include a handgun, specialized UV Knife, an assault rifle, a submachine gun, a shotgun, a sniper rifle and an anti-material rifle, but not all of those weapons can destroy Nightwalkers. If you don’t have a powerful weapon, it is important to find the routes to avoid encounters with Nightwalkers.
In what kinds of ways can you hunt and kill vampires in Vampire Rain?
  • Primary means are sniper rifle (long range), shotgun (short range) and UV Knife (sneak attack).
Why does rain give you an advantage over the vampires?
  • What’s depicted in this game is a rainy night of events. It rains in the city where it rarely rains, and humans take it as an opportunity and decide to carry out the Nightwalker elimination.
You can find rain in all over the game: in sound effects and graphics, and rain is the motif of this game. Similar to the way rain confuses a bat’s radar, rain also weakens the senses of the Nightwalkers in Vampire Rain (their view angles get narrowed in inverse relation to the amount of rainfall).
We’ve heard you wanted to portray vampires in a different way in Vampire Rain. Could you explain this?
  • You find two aspects in the vampires of Vampire Rain: Some possess advanced intellectual power, look for harmony between mankind and vampires, and wonder why they have come into existence in this world, and some are just like monsters who want to ruthlessly rip open your body to suck your blood as soon as they recognize you as a human.  And, there’s a parent-child relational hierarchy among them; the more pure-blooded his or her breed is, the more advanced his/ her intellectual power is and the more numbers of follower Nightwalkers he or she has.
The story of this title depicts the bewilderment of humans who are stunned by the overwhelming physical abilities of Nightwalkers as well as the distress that Nightwalker bosses suffer with; therefore, during the course of the game, players will sympathize with not only human characters but also Nightwalkers - although they’ll all still be your enemies.
How much freedom will the player have to move around the city in Vampire Rain?
  • The story leads the player to carry out essential missions; however, the player encounters various types of events in his path, so I believe the missions are complicated. You can pretty much roam anywhere within mission boundaries and can take advantage of shortcuts and detours placed throughout. It’s up to the player whether he goes through the shortcuts by using the weapons to eliminate Nightwalkers or chooses detours to avoid encountering Nightwalkers.
Can you tell us how Vampire Rain’s Xbox Live modes will work?
  • You will be able to sign into Xbox Live and play multiplayer sessions with up to 8 people including yourself. The main feature of this game’s multiplayer mode is that you can transform into a Nightwalker, the super-powerful enemy character you were struggling against in the single player mode. Although Nightwalkers have definite physical advantages, the following 4 types of games will make the online battles very enjoyable. Each of the 4 games can be played as an individual player or can be played as teams.
Deathmatch/ Team Deathmatch
    • It is a typical head-to-head combat. If you have your NW gauge filled up, you can transform into a Nightwalker for certain duration.
    • If you can defeat many humans while you are a Nightwalker, your chance of winning will increase.
Death or Nightwalker
    • Player can transform into a Nightwalker any time, but once you turn into one, you cannot transform back into a human until you die.
    • Human characters are weaker but can score higher points. On the other hand, Nightwalker characters are stronger but are awarded lower points.
    • By observing carefully how many have turned into Nightwalkers, you can choose your best strategy; to fight as a human or to fight as a Nightwalker.
Destroy
    • You must head for the target object. The longer you stand in the object’s proximity, the more points you score. Every other player character is going to be your enemy, so you need to eliminate the ones who come close to the object.
    • Estimating the situation and making a decision whether you stay as a human character or Nightwalker is the key to win this match.
Team Destroy
    • Two teams: Nightwalker and Human, compete for the shortest time in destroying all the target objects.  Each team plays one round of offense (as Nightwalkers) and another round of defense (as humans).
    • Teamwork among players is the key to victory, especially when you are a part of Nightwalker team.
Capture the Flame/ Team Capture the Flame
    • Points are awarded to the player holding the flame. As soon as you capture the flame, you need to jump and run away from every other player character.
    • However, when you play as a Nightwalker and step on a UV Mine, your Nightwalker character gets temporarily paralyzed.
    • To secure the route to run away is the key to victory.

Thanks very much for your time!

XCN: Project Sylpheed Q&A with Duane Colbert
Project Sylpheed Q&A for Xbox Community Network
Answered By: Duane Colbert, Global Product Manager, Xbox

How does Project Sylpheed let you master your environment?
  • In Project Sylpheed players pilot a fully weapon-customizable fighter ship through exhilarating battles where they must shoot down swarms of enemy ships and immense vessels while completing a variety of strategic and tactical missions. You’ll be able to master your environment by piloting your Delta Saber star-fighter like a pro and knowing which weapons are best for each mission.
What does Project Sylpheed have in common with the old Silpheed games on PC and Sega CD?
  • The newest iteration of the Silpheed franchise morphs the arcade, side-scrolling shooter into a next-generation, intergalactic 3D dogfight. Set in the 27th century, Project Sylpheed combines aerial combat and customizable starfighters into a deep story, providing a unique action-arcade experience.  The ability to shoot off multiple weapons at once against swarms of enemies will give you a similar sense of exhilaration as the original
Supported by a multi-levelled storyline and almost an hour of polished cinematic cut-scenes, Project Sylpheed features intense aerial combat combined with a dramatic tale of friends turned foes. Gamers will help Katana, the main character in Project Sylpheed, evolve as a combat pilot and mature as a young man, against what some might consider insurmountable odds.
Can you describe what the feeling of piloting your ship in Project Sylpheed is like?
  • Exhilarating…and hectic at times. As a gamer progresses through “Project Sylpheed” their flying and tactical manoeuvres will become more precise and polished, allowing them to execute daring offensive and defensive aerial combat manoeuvres.
What kind of cool moves do your ship’s controls allow you to pull off?
  • Players have full control of thrusters, can perform 180 turns & flips, activate a slo-mo mode, and fly all throughout 3D space. You’ll be able to choose from cockpit view (1st person), close view or far view and control level of normal, advanced or professional. The key to a successful mission in this game is to grasp the mission objectives and recognize the important enemies. Enemy units are attacking you in an overwhelming number, so you have little chance of winning the battle if you just keep fighting without any strategy. Here are some tips for you:
    • Study the conditions for success during the mission briefings and put priority on shooting down the mission targets in each stage
    • Learn the weapon locations of enemy battleships, and focus on key targets such as the shielding device and the engine
    • When your aircraft’s damage level is high or ammo is low, you can re-supply at your base ship (Acropolis) or other tankers so you can complete the mission
    • Listen carefully to incoming communications, as they may include your allies’ request for help
    • Make use of the radio command to direct your wingman or squadron to attack, support or break away as the fighting progresses.
    • Utilize the map to grasp the overall situation and to check the locations of enemy reinforcements, ally tankers and battleships in need of assistance.
    • When your shield and power are at full strength, there are 3 bonus tactics available – fire all weapons and ammo, ram your fighter, and slowing down time... use them wisely.
Can you customise and upgrade your ship?
  • Players can choose different control types, but primarily customize the ship via type of weapons to equip.
What kind of weapons can you use against your enemies?
  • Players will have 50 different weapon variations to equip their star-fighters and a variety of mission types to complete, from dogfights to protecting cargo ships and to destroying much larger enemy weapons or ships.   Weapon types include guns, missiles, rockets, lasers, bombs, cannons, and larger anti-ship arms.
We’ve heard there is some squad-based gameplay in Sylpheed. How do you communicate with your teammates?
  • A quick tap of the D-pad will bring up the squad communication interface that allows you to command your wingman or entire squadron to attack, support, or break away from formation.
Does Project Sylpheed have Xbox Live modes? How do they work?
  • For Project Sylpheed we wanted to focus on a pure offline single player experience. The title is Xbox Live aware but does not include any mulitiplayer features. We are exploring whether we can add a leaderboard feature so gamers can track their score versus others in the Xbox Community, but that is not yet confirmed.
