I'm trying to do this on PPT 2011 for Mac, and having a problem with the slideshow ending when I hit Esc. Any suggestions?

Is there a way of putting in a transition from the custom slide show back to the origional? ie. when you press Esc can you put a fade in rather than a jump cut?

Are you able to add a transition? so when you press esc it doesnt just cut straight to the slide but fade in for example. cheers

Ok guys! I did this and then my poweroint opened! But then the outline didn't transfer into powerpoint? I looked everywhere on the internet to figure out what to do and even hit the question ??? mark on the top right corner of my Powerpoint? What do I do???

I cannot get this to work in PowerPoint 2010. When I follow your instructions therte is no Edit and so have to use the 'context key' or right click, and the Paste Special is not an option?

Can't help echoing all the plaudits for the help! Wish someone from MS reads this and understands how painful some of these "cool" changes they made. Would be interesting to hear their side of the store :-)

Really nice, ty.

I also found that inserting an action button in the looping slide and linking it to the following slide prevents you from exiting the show.
