Using the control toolbox, you can allow typing of text during slide show. To achieve this, you will need to enable the control toolbox. Click View > Toolbars > Control Toolbox. Next, select the Text Box button in the control toolbox. Add the Text Box onto the slide and preview the slide show. You will now be able to type text in the slide show.
