Sorry for the big delay in blogposts! I am trying to move house and office at the same time. Something I will never do again.

Either way, this blogpost is being written on an apple iMac – running Vista - on a wireless internet connection, from a field. Got to love technology.

Here is a quick tip for Vista and Axis network IP Camera’s that this very second I figured out. If you want the Live View to work, you need to download the updated control from here as Vista will not install the one on the camera.

Twins, in fact…. Sarah, the other sister, not yet mentioned on this blog, just called at gave out to me that Amanda had been mentioned but she had not.

So here it is Sis… I am spreading the word that you too are intelligent, wonderful, important, and…. now known to the world! The thing is, you will now need to fight off all the ubergeeks that come here and read this thing…

As you said, you have done amazing things too…. Amanda produces amazing hairstyles, you produce amazing children!

My mate is gone. Ron passed away at 7:30pm yesterday evening after what I can only describe as the most unlucky and unfortunate series of events.

Beware the dish cloth

Yesterday evening, I was helping Rachel with getting everything ready for dinner. I cannot remember how it happened, but I must have said something…. off came the slipper and I got a whack around the back of the legs.

I proceeded to grab a dish cloth

After a couple off miss-hits, I got the “whoooootooosh crack” effect. The problem was it was right on Rachels thigh. She fell to the ground. Holy ***! Needless to say, I was not spoken to for a good few hours.

The moral of the story is… well I don’t really know actually…

Just don’t whip your wife with a dish cloth.

2007 is here, and I am - as usual - late.

The Christmas and New Year break ended up being longer than I expected. I am simply glad that this will be the last year that Rachel and I have to travel to the other side of the country to visit our families. Hopefully before the summer we will be in our new house!

I have been meaning to catch up on a few blog posts with various topics. They will follow right after this one :)

I leave you with one final comment / picture. No matter how much you have drunk, do not let your niece at you with a "GHD" hair straightener.

Some of you know that each year I try to get to the Winconnections summit in America. Recently, instead of that, I attended the first Minasi forum members event in Virginia. (There is another one this year, but I wont be able to attend). Anyway... I am rambling as usual...

A few years ago, at Winconnections, I met (among other great people) someone I now consider a good friend. Ron Hrehirchuk, and his wife Tracy. (Hi Tracy!). This year, something quite terrible happened to Ron... what started out at a headache ended up being a rare condition called Blastomycosis Meningitis. Without going into it all here, you can read the long thread on the subject on Mark's forum here.

I often get someone ask me "How can I pay you back for fixing my...." <<< insert something I fixed there... Normally I tell people not to bother, what goes around comes around... however....

Now I am calling on you, you know who you are... you are the people that at some stage said the words above to me. Now you can pay me back by sending some money to the Hrehirchuk clan. The link is here to the Paypal account.

(On a side note, if you are one of the really rich folk I know - again, you know who you are, I will beat you with a stick if you do not give something substantial) LOL

We are having some of the best weather I have ever seen in Ireland. Just back from this weekends "Pig and Porter" Tag Rugby event. It was simply fantastic. I caught some nice photos of the day which are attached below.

Since I have not had a holiday in nearly two years, I am taking this week off work. Let's see how that works out :)

I wonder if it is something to do with genetics...? I knew it was important, but still forgot.

Lucky my wife, Rachel, is understanding. I still got Pancakes and Strawberries for breakfast :)

Cardiff is not that far from here....    just a ferry trip away.    The problem is that I am going with the rest of the "gang" from Shannon Airport.

(I have not told them that I am bad luck in Airports)....

Anyway, it now turns out that munsterrugby.ie travel people did not charter their own plane, but went through Limerick Travel.   It also turns out that we are not now going to Cardiff airport, but to Birmingham airport - a good 3 hours coach ride away.

Should be fun....    wish us luck for the Final!

I write this while travelling back from Limerick, where I just saw a pretty poor performance by Munster Rugby team against Newport Gwent Dragons. We did win, but did not get our bonus point and to be honest did not deserve it. I somehow doubt that we will get out of our group now… Sale will beat us, let alone give us the chance for a bonus point.

Oh well, at least there is only one more work week ahead before the break for Christmas and New Year. I can’t wait…. I need the break.

Speaking about Christmas, that brings me on to Christmas tunes and my Parrot. You see, I have an African Grey Parrot called Monty… he swears a lot… therefore I try to teach him new things that do not insult people so much. This time last year, I had been singing “Jingle Bells” first few lines to him for over 3 weeks to see if, at least once over the holiday, he would sing it for others…. Alas, he decided that he would wait until March. This year I have been trying the words “Merry Christmas”. But he seems to prefer “for f***s sake”… I think I will keep him upstairs when the In-laws are eating, otherwise I suspect Monty may be on the menu.

Ho Ho… Fa la la la laaaa and all that….

I meant to post about this a couple of months ago, but while away this weekend I saw it again and it reminded me to post. If you want a good 2 hours of laughs then please rent this movie out or find it on the satellite / cable channels.

Classic stuff…. With my favourite scene involving a Jukebox, Queens “Don’t stop me now” and snooker cues.
