Curious how to disable IPv6?
This will work on Vista & Windows 2008 boxes and disable IPv6 if you need to (as in System Center Essentials!). Change the registry entry and restart the machine to apply to the local machine.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters\DisabledComponents = 255
