The IE8 beta *for Web Developers and Designers* is now available...
Let me emphasise Dean's words:
"While anyone can download it, this is a developer beta. We released it at MIX for a good reason: great web experiences start with web developers, and we want to engage developers first. We believe that to build a better browser for the people who use the web, we need to build a better browser for the people who make the web. Non-developers are welcome to try it, but they’ll be more interested in Beta 2."
I'll be very interested to see how the Safety Filter develops as time goes on - the Safety Filter is an enhancement to the Phishing Filter (and can be enabled/disabled separately to the Phishing Filter).
The beta can be downloaded here. I strongly recommend that you work your way through the various resources and overviews.
I've already installed the IE8 beta on Vista x64 and XP; the install ran very smoothly although a reboot is still required to complete the installation.
