Google Desktop causing problems
Here is today's email question:
"Dear Sandi,
I would really appreciate your help. I've been trying for ages to find out what is wrong with my IE7 but there doesn't seem to be anything useful on the internet that I can find...
Whenever I open IE I get a message saying:
Assert in LSP
false
Failed to initialize mutex. Err=5
c:\src\googleclient\total_recall_r4_en\common\shared_memory_ptr.h:1
88
When I click 'Abort' or 'Ignore' it takes me onto the following:
Assert in LSP
shared_data_!=NULL
NULL object pointer being dereferenced
c:\src\googleclient\total_recall_r4_en\common\shared_memory_ptr.h:1
01
After that Internet Explorer just shuts down.... How can I stop this?"
The fix is to uninstall or update Google Desktop.
