Me.dium for IE7 has been updated
Errors thrown while shutting down IE.
Sharing on/off button not visible with customized menu bars.
Thread locking issues when participating in multiple chat conversations.
Download the latest version here.
Just to be sure, I'd shut down IE before running the installer...
I also strongly recommend that you uninstall Me.dium before installing the new version. This is because, for me, the installer failed to properly remove the old build of Me.dium and/or successfully install the latest build. I was left with the Explorer Bar (which didn't work), no toolbar button, and no activex control in Manage Add-Ons. I had to go to Add/Remove Programs, uninstall Me.dium from there, and then install the latest build again.
As noted above, the latest build is meant to fix the problem with the Sharing on/off button not being visible with customized menu bars, but for me, this has not been the case. When I first started IE after reinstalling Me.dium I saw the same error about being unable to customize the toolbar that I have seen with other builds.
I recommend that you do NOT click on the "Customize toolbar" button. When I clicked on that button, Me.dium not only failed to customize the toolbar, I was also unable to open the dialogue box to customize it myself (by right clicking on the toolbar, then selecting "Customize Command Bar"). The window would briefly appear, then immediately close. It took three tries, closing and re-opening IE every time, before I could open the Customize Command Bar dialogue box and add the Me.dium button.
Installing Me.dium also removes also custom buttons, such as Fiddler, by removing them from view, but it is simple enough to put it back again.
Bear in mind I am running Vista x64, so you may have no problems at all installing Me.dium's latest build.
