Introducing the Microsoft Malware Protection Center

MMPC is now out of beta and an excellent resource for those conscious of the need to stay up to date regarding the latest online threats.

The "Top 10" lists on MMPC include "Top Desktop Threats", "Top MSRT Detections", "Most Active Email Threats" and "Top Adwware/Spyware (and yes, Winfixer is in the Top 10, at number 7".

You can also access the latest Windows Defender Antispyware definitions and the latest Forefront Client Security Definitions.

And, there are links to various security related sites and blogs, a threat encyclopaedia, tools and resources and you can submit suspected malware samples for analysis.

The Microsoft Malware Protection Center can be access via this link:

Isn't it the MMPC (Microsoft Malware Protection Center) instead of MLPC?  I'm guessing that was for Microsoft Live Protection Center but on the website at the bottom it says MMPC Portal Feedback.  I think that is the official name.
