Patchou: You are an <insert unflattering description here> - Part 1

This article is going to be split into four sections, purely because of sheer size... the first addressing installation, the second addressing the sponsor program itself, the third and fourth discussing the effect on your system, and what the sponsor program exposes you to.

Patchou has a new "distributor" for his sponsor, called "Circle Development Ltd", but don't be fooled into thinking that Patchou's turned into one of the good guys... NO HOW, NO WAY!!!  It's still malware, and even worse, it pushing betrayware/rogueware... fake or disreputable antispyware applications, and advertisements that are entirely unsuitable for an underage audience (yes, I know, the MP sponsor program EULA stipulates that you must be 18 to use the program, but I have yet to see ANY underage user told he cannot install the sponsor, even at www.msgplus.net's help forums and anyway, let's get real here.... who's going to want cutesy sounds and the other stuff that comes with MP?  Not 'grown up' corporate users, that's for sure).

Bear with me.. first we'll step through the improvements to the Sponsor installation protocols, then we will have a look at the sponsor itself.

NOTE: I RECOMMEND THAT YOU **NOT** INSTALL THE SPONSOR PROGRAM.  THE POP UP WINDOWS GENERATED BY THE SPONSOR PROGRAM WILL, IN MY AND OTHER'S EXPERIENCE, TRY TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL MALWARE ONTO YOUR SYSTEM.

First we get the security warning - fair enough:

Then the initial setup screen:

Choose whether or not you want to install the Sponsor:

Accept the sponsor agreement, viewable at http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/images/4.png (note, if you have image resizing enabled you'll need to bring the graphic up to normal size to be readable.

Accept the terms of the sponsor agreement:

Then accept the Messenger Plus! EULA:

The program and sponsor installs:

Ok, the sponsor has been installed... now, let's check it out
