I've been in that office... and sat on that couch!!!

Hi Dean!!  Hi Tony!!  Not sure that I have had the pleasure of meeting Chris in person... mind you, when I do, there's no WAY he's getting anywhere near any phone or camera of mine (watch the first video to work out why) ;o)

Video: 7 best things about IE7 (fun to watch - not much technical content - but you get to see where Sandi sat)
http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=166919

BTW, if you're using IE7 Beta 2 Preview, you won't be able to view the video on page... use the download button to open the video in Media Player instead... and, don't try to do both.. you'll seriously scramble your display.. click on 'stop' if you've tried to use the embedded player then click on download.

Oh, and Dean... I am not sure that your desk was that tidy the last time I was there  <gd&r>

Here's another video about IE7 - sorry Rob, I don't remember being in your office <cheeky grin>   Hey!! There's Markus! I love that guy.  I'm partial to a germanic accent, probably because I'm married to a Swiss guy :o)

This video has some developer focused information about IE7....

The Application Compatibility Toolkit is seriously cool, as is the Developer Toolbar.

I *so* wish I was going to Mix06... but unfortunately, being based in Australia makes it well nigh impossible - my credit card is still groaning under the weight of last years international flights  :o(

One more video.. <still laughing at the legal v illegal commentary> ... there's that office and that couch again... hey Dean!!! Some business cards fell out of my sling-pack in your office, including yours .. wanna send them to me?

This video discusses the IE7 Beta 2 Preview... is it just me, or is Dean's desk just a tad less tidy this time ;o)  There are 5 team members in Dean's office - well worth watching - the chat about the IE team meeting up with the Mozilla team is fun
http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=159460

Hey, there's Margaret!!!  <waving>  We last got to chat at CES...I'm sure that the poor woman was about to lose her voice, having to spend all that time on the IE7 booth...

Ok, so am I name dropping?  Maybe, but after 6 years in this game I reckon I've earned the right.  I am *so* honored to be able to say that I have met most of these people... have broken bread with them... chatted with them... they're all decent, nice, honest people... forget the IE v Mozilla flame wars.... forget those who say that MS and those who work for it are somehow the devil incarnate - what I love about these videos is it humanises those behind the browser ... the IE team, male and female, are all fantastic and really do give a damn.  User first.  Not open source first. Not kill Firefox first.  Not kill (insert browser) first.  Not kill Microsoft first.  User first.

There may be more stuff worth blogging about in the last video, which is lengthy, but I want to get this live... I hope you enjoy meeting the faces behind the names behind IE7.

Ugh, that video was so bad. Dean called me and Chris into his office. When we went in, there was a woman with a camera waiting for us. With no prep, we just started talking. Clearly, it shows...
