I had installed Microsoft Expression Web 2 on my Lenovo Thinkpad T500 laptop, but something went awry and I attempted to delete the program via Add and Remove Programs on the Control Panel. However, Expression Web 2 is still listed in the program population list in Control Panel.

When I put the disk in to reinstall the program, I get "Setup, Detection Progress" and a choice for "Maintenance: Change, Repair or Remove." Each choice does not succeed in reinstalling Expression Web 2. "Change" gives me a message "Installation Failed" and refers to an Error 2. "Repair" gives a message "Index (zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list." "Remove" also says that it could not be removed because of Error 2. When I get to Add or Remove Programs on the Control Panel, under "Remove" I get "Setup Error; Setup cannot find the required setup controller file." Under "Change" I get the same message.

Help me either reload the program or get rid of it on my computer because when I click to open a Microsoft Word document I get a message "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Expression Web 2" and then "Error 1706. Setup cannot find the required files. For other potential solutions to this problem see SETUP.CHM." I haven't been able to find "SETUP.CHM anywhere. This happens every time I try to open a Word document or a PowerPoint slide; the computer tries to configure Expression Web 2 each time. Very discouraging!
