New tool for all SPS developer's toolbox!

The Internet Explorer developer's toolbar was announced at the PDC and is ready to download.  You can grab it at:

and I highly suggest that you do.   It can tell you almost everything you ever wanted to know about a page including table layouts, classes, images, and much, much more!

Kudos to Mark Kruger for passing along this great tip.

Workflows coming back to SharePoint

According to the comments made by Bill Gates, SharePoint 12 will have “... rich workflow type capability, with the sharing of information in one common, rich way.”

Another nice comment about searching:  “SharePoint's search function now can go out not just to documents but to structured information like your product catalogue, your project management status, your directory of who your employees are, and your accounting software”

Microsoft Research Article on finding what you need

As we all know one big pain is trying to find what we need in the big repository known as the Internet, or even in a corporate intranet.   MS Research in Cambridge is working on that issue right now.   One interesting point of this article is the final 2 paragraphs that state how their research is being used in SharePoint.
