Running the Internet Explorer with "Run As administrator" did the trick for me, if the UAC is activated.

I did some playing around. What happens is disabling UAC set protected mode to off for local intranet.

Interesting about UAC. But when I changed the local intranet to protected mode = off the problem went away. Immediately I know nothing about what protected mode actually does.

The issue is User Account Control not Protected Mode.
