Congrats Shane! I like the way you went about writing this post! When i read the heading, the natural question that popped up in my head was the first question you addressed. So I guess that means you are a natural teacher...

Here I am having a problem,

You see i am deploying a web part. I created it in my virtual machine and had deployed it there ... and it works perfectly. I then tried to deploy it in our staging environment. I put in the ASsembley folder , then go to the gallery, add the webpart. Then go to site and try adding the webpart to the page. The moment i select the webpart from the pop-up gallery, a 'forbidden 403' error shows up.

I have tried deploying in the bin and as a CAB file and i end up facing the same problem. The site to which the webpart was added shows the 'forbidden 403' error.

I hope you will be able to tell me what i might be doing wrong.

How can we be kept abreast of this new Professional SharePoint Server 2007 Administration course? What is the cost, what is the venue, when, etc.? I need to know these kinds of things in order to scope it as part of my budget planning for the new fiscal, which starts on Oct 1.

Yup, the class will be offered via Live Meeting. I don't know when yet but hopefully by the end of the year.
