Ah, Murphy's Laws of DOS. We sure had a lot of fun writing that book. (Sharon Crawford was as involved in the book as in most of our later ones, but couldn't be a named author.)

On the Murphy's image - Not anything I can grant you. You'd have to contact the publisher, Sybex, for permission. I certainly have no objections, but it's not my decision alone.

My father gave me your book "Murphy's Law of Dos" for me to learn DOS back in 1994 i think, and it remained my bible for many years to come. I need your permission to use your illustration of Murphy in that book as an avatar for personal use (avatar on communities and blogs)

I know you are a busy man, but I am sure you would be kind enough to grant me the permission.

I would be very obliged.
