Vista: I like this
One of the things I like about Vista (and there are some things I don't like) is how it remembers the settings for external monitors and projectors. I often need to be working on a few documents simultaneously so the ability to add an external monitor to my laptop quickly is really useful. Plug in the video cable, switch on the monitor and we're working. Even remembers that I want the external monitor to be attached to the right of my laptop screen. Better than XP in that respect.
