ok, on Centos 5.0 i ended up turning on with kernel params:

clocksource=acpi_pm nosmp noapic nolapic

and in my vmx file:

"tools.syncTime = TRUE"

it seems to not lose time now.

This solution doesn't work for me. I run 3 VMs on top of Fedora 8 (x86_64) and all 3 clocks run slow. The guests I run are Fedora 7 (i386), Opensuse 10.3 (i386) and Ubuntu 7.10 (x85_64). Anyone have other ideas to try?

I have found a DoS situation with BitComet. I have the ATT Uverse Internet and TV server which delivers TV over the IP network (IPTV). So ATT give me this 2WIRE residential gateway that I have to use to connect to their network.

Over time i notice that my Internet and Video On Demand channels stop every 30 min for 1 min or so. The regular streaming TV still works.

ATT techs put a lot of effort onsite to try an resolve the problem and we finally determined it was my WIN23k server that was causing the problem. When it was on the network the outages would occur.

Source: Using Wireshark I notice a huge amount of DNS querries comming from my server. When I shut down BitComet the traffic slowly stat to die down.

The ATT RG gets hammered by this traffic and their it must fill up its connection pools and stop traffic until it clears.

Thanks for the info, I'll give these X-servers a try. I've been using Xming (sourceforge.net/.../xming) with very good results.

Hello! need help here. i am using version 8.0 [build 8.0.0792.00] with Messenger Plus Live. however, i would like to login to 2 msn accounts at the same time, not necessarily one msn window. how can i do it? i did download A Patch but it didnt work out, i mean i couldnt run it. can any1 help me out please? my email is raynfung@gmail.com
