I think it is cached in memory if indicated and can be cached to disk as normal or not depending on browser settings. By default IE does allow caching to disk of SSL content. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Please correct me if I&amp;#39;m wrong because it&amp;#39;s pretty important to me if I am!!&lt;/p&gt;

So, putting your static files on a diff domain prevents such cookies from ever going there.&lt;/p&gt;
