Hello,
i had problems enabling index propagation in sharepoint 2007 RTM, so i delete the whole crawl recreated the propagation with the STSADM utility this makes it works however i still have these error message in the "Check Services Enabled in this farm" menu.
"Office SharePoint Server Search The query server index file location on PDC-SPE01 is not shared. This location must be shared to allow for this server to receive propagation. Index propagation to PDC-SPE01 will fail. Use the Office SharePoint Server Search Settings page to create the share.
Anyone has the same problem?
Thank you
Philippe Desmarais

I am assuming you have another SharePoint server in your farm , possibly a web server and is enabled as the query server. You need to go to central admin - application management - search service and click on the name of your search server that is the web front end ( the server that is the query server ). You should see an option at the bottom of page to share your index propogation folder.
I am about to put a PDF on our web site that has this workaround as part of the whitepaper as it happens when you do an Upgrade from 2003 in a medium farm as well.
