We have the need to customize the alert notification email for SPPS 2003.
The Notification Mail for WSS can be changed ba using the following
Article:

But for the Portal Notifications, which are different we were not able to find configuration files or any other way to customize the Mail being sent by the Portal.
Since we have searched for auite a while now we'd be very grateful for any tips and hints.
