No alerts on items I have to approve

I have a alert on a list. Whenever I change something on the list an alert is beeing sent. When someone add something to the list I have to approve no alert is sent to me.
Anyone?

Alerts only refer to approved items, so they are not going to help you.
There is no email notification for approval in SharePoint.
You may want to look at third party products, there are several, the one I've used in Nintex, www.nintex.com
