Simple thing I will be missing on Windows Phone 7

Usually, as soon as I get a new smartphone my first instinct is to change the background so I can have a photo I took of my family or a place I like shown to me along with the rest of the information as soon as I turn on my device.

However it seems that this simple feature available nowadays to every simple phone just wont be there on Windows Phone 7.

This of course wont prevent me from using and liking WP7, but it will sure come a shortcoming I wouldn’t expect on any consumer smartphone of the twenty first century.

Nice mockup, but conflicts with the intent around simplicity and space which are core to the Metro user experience. You can however change the background of the lock screen

Hi Nick I understand your point, but since you are able to have backgrounds on Hubs, why not on the start screen too?
