October 2004 - Posts
Over the year I have note a few things that will bring up a big debate and sometimes an argument. Just post something in a NG about politics or religion you have a thread that will run three times or more than any other in the newsgroup. Also I have been eating at work in the past and have to leave the lunch room to find a peaceful place to eat after somebody started to talk about one of these subjects. So why am I posting this in my Blog.
Well something happen to me in my family this weekend. In order to not to make this a partisan view. I will be careful how I tell this story. I asked my Father for a sign of one party for my yard about two months ago. He told me he could get me one. So two day ago I got a call from my mother telling me ‘’ that your father has you a sign that is 8 ft long and if you put it in your yard I will never come back to visit you again’’. I said “I told him I wanted one”. My mother told me “listen you heard what I saided and you tell him not to put it up”. I laughed and she hung up the phone, then I realized that she was very serious.
Well I love my mother and I am paying for this house I live in. So I feel like I can do what I want in my yard. I am not trying to disrespect her but, it is my choose to put up this sign. So I decide I would put it up. Well my father brought the sign knowing what my mother had told me and when I told him to go ahead and put it up. It was like I had voted for him for president. , he spark up and ran out there. He had that sign up in no time and he is about 80 years old.
Well I called my mother and asked her what the problem with the sign was, that if you and dad have a problem, don’t get me in the middle of it. I wanted that sign a long time ago. She ask me “Did you have him put it up” and I said “yes“. My mother said “you know the deal then *click*”.
I have not talked to her since the sign has been up in my yard and she would call me every day. Geez, I think it would have be better to post my views in a NG next time. Sure am glad that this only comes every 4 years. November 2nd will be here soon and I can take it down. Then I think I will put in my sons room so she will not go in there. I kind of scared to talk about Religion now.

I have been just trying out Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10 (DI Pro10) and have found there are many more filters in it then MSN Picture It. Somebody asked me why they should use DIPro10 instead of Paint Shop Pro (PSP). I have never used (PSP) but looking at the flash introduction. I don’t see anything that is not available in DI Pro10. I have tried other software. Most professions use Adobe (high cost) and DI Pro10 will allow you to use the plug-in filters for Adobe. Before in Picture IT I have used several programs to get the effect I wanted. Now that I am seeing that DI Pro 10 is able to do them all.
One big feature is being able to order prints online is so easy. When I am able to click on order prints, then it will compress, upload them and all at a fair price using my passport wallet. Then when online if you have not got the right resolution (300 pixels per inch) then the online service will show you what size of prints you are able to order, for a good quality picture. The one thing I wish they would have done different would be, to enable you to set your measurements in pica or a point. A pica is a typographical unit of measurement (1/6 inch or 12 points) and a point being the smallest (1/72 inch). Of course this is not big problem to figure out. This software is user friendly and I am enjoying it.

Everybody whom comes into a newsgroup or work with the public will cross somebody that wishes to start trouble. These people are good at what they do, I will call them spin bamboozles. They have a comment for everything you can throw at them. They may make you mad as hell or run others off with there frivolous comments.
In the public you are able to see them in person and have a better scope on what their true problems are. Now and then they will lose their backbone when they are confronted. Other times they will just keep the same worthless opines. As long as they know it disturbing you, the spin bamboozle will continue. Others may try to help in vain then, one day for no reason it will end. You may take it as a prayer answered. Well this maybe the case, for we all are tested in life. Spin bamboozles thoroughly understood the workings of your level-headedness. They feel success in being able to disrupt it. The trick is not to let them know or feed them what they seek.
Online you will find many spin bamboozles. They’re able to hide behind their keyboard and type away at a rate that would keep a great moderator very busy.
So let me give my views about flaming the spin bamboozle. IT DOES NO GOOD. Also it will take up more productive work time. If you are dealing with some spin bamboozle then make your best comment and move on. Does it matter if the spin bamboozle get the last word? The spin bamboozles will be seen for what they are by many others. By flaming the spin bamboozle you are connecting yourself to them and new comers in the newsgroup may get the wrong impression of you.
Now this does not imply that if you are having strong opinions but, getting some productive work out of it. Then a little heat in the kitchen keeps the food warm. Just know when to cut off the fire before the food is burnt.

You have two choices when you wake up each morning. You can choose to be positive or negative. I choose to be positive. The nick name JDProud was the nickname I used when, I started teaching myself the computer. It came from a misspelled word on a greeting card I made up. I printed on the back of the card JD Prouduction. Then I saw the mistake and thought, why can’t I be different? Production is the correct spelling but "Proud"uction it was. My first ISP would only let me use a limited letters so I cut if off as JDProud.
As far as me being proud has nothing to do with any awards that I have been given. I could list a lot of reasons why I am proud. Most of them do not have any thing to do with computers or the internet. Most of awards that I have received were, before I even knew how to turn on a computer. You don’t have to be the best at what you do, but it does help to feel you have given your best try at it. You either have it or you don’t. Knowing you did your best is a feeling that makes you proud. Sure there are a lot of people wanting out there to kick you down but you don’t stay there, you get back up.
So many times In life you run across very smart people but they have a negative attitude. They use the best part of their life looking for faults in people. Instead of helping others out they have chosen to make it harder on them. No matter what you do, you will not change them. Some may make it big in life as far as material things but will never understand the feeling of being proud. As far as English goes, you can be proud of a car, house or pretty much any material thing. But until you are able get it in your heart; you will never understand what JDProud is all about.
God Bless Everyone

So I have been playing around a lot with the ASP.net site and trying to figure out how to customize this Blog. Seem this is all new to me. So I guess until I figure it out I have better post and use the themes that I have. Now this one a day post has gotten two day behind. I have start posting in the MSN public NG. Seem I have a lot to learn about being in the public. They are not as forgiving as other private group alone the lines of spelling and grammar. Just wonder how it must matter about this Blog. I guess that the point of this is that if I can understand what somebody is saying. It does not matter to me if they misspell a word or maybe could have worded it a little better. That view must be why I failed English in college. Well hopefully I will get better with this and need to check it before I post something.
I also made a mistake of using my nickname JDProud with my MVP next it. Well it started a thread of me being a imposter and with my grammar errors. That just made it better so in a rush I post my real name and before I knew it I hit send. I guess the thread will be longer now because that was a very poor written post.

Christopher Reeve (aka) Superman has passed away Sunday. You may ask me why is this is in my Blog. The fact that when I went to open this Blog, I was going to name it Vision or a Pixel. The subject was to be about pictures. My writing skills shall improve over time with this Blog. I figured I would post something each day. So the second day I failed. Not a good step to start but then again you have to crawl before you can walk.
Christopher Reeve had a vision of walking again. I can tell you he is right now. He is among the stars looking down at us now. I recall seeing the TV that day when his accident happens. I was in MUSC rehabilitation in the SCI ward. I am a T-2 Paraplegic due to a gunshot wound. I had learned more about the spinal cord while being in there then I did my whole then 38 years of living. The severity of his injury was well known to me. He is listed more a Quadriplegia. My prayers were with him that day and also his family today. I recall thanking God that I was not in the shape he was in.
I wrote him a letter after getting out and got one from him that was dictated. Although I have not been giving to his funds Christopher Reeve Foundation (CRF) they always have sent me information on his research because of his funds. I have just read his book Nothing Is Impossible : Reflections on a New Life, a few months ago and was thinking I could have wrote one just as good has he done or maybe better. Many views that he had has cross my mind and he uses humor to get him through many days. He will be miss and soon forgotten but I hope the seed that he has planted will grow on.
God Bless You Christopher Reeve

Years ago you would see something and you could tell somebody. That person may have believed you or he may have said I would have to see a picture of it. Well, with the advancement of computers and digital software it has gotten to the point that you have to vision it to believe it.
How many times have you taken a picture only to have a vision of something else? We take a vision capture of time in our mind and put into a vision device. Picture these devices that see it like our brain. The sky is that blue; the ground was level; no need for a tri-pod, that hair do breeze was gone. The truth is we have no device that compare to the ability of the brain.
So we use a cameras to picture it. The digital age has come to a point where we have a lot more chooses in what physical visions we want to keep. If you're still a film person you are able to digital your prints and use program such as Microsoft Picture It! With this program you are able to adjust, convert, and repair a lot of the pictures that would just throw away. Truly in this day and time there is not reason for any picture to get this type of treatment. I have taken blurred one and crop them into some of the greatest wallpaper you could design. It is All in the way you vision your Pictures.
I am far from a professional photographer and was voted MSN Photos MVP 2004. I enjoy using photo software. I named this Blog Picture IT or This The “This” could be a pixel, a view, a thought, a vision, or most of all anything you want it.
