I am really annoyed that I am going to have to fill the task bar with icons to get even close to the way I used to organize access to the many applications and utilities that I use daily. It will look untidy. I will no longer be able to organize my start menu into genres that only show the application start icons.

I do not like the fact that, in order to benefit from more security stability and speed, I have to entirely give up my way of working because somebody has had a vision.

I do not like the fact that, in order to benefit from more security stability and speed, I have to entirely give up my way of working because somebody has decided that Windows should look and feel more like a Mac. If I wanted a Mac, I would go out and buy one.

I do not like the fact that, in order to benefit from more security stability and speed, I have to entirely give up my way of working because support for what I do and use now will, at some point in the future, be taken away.

Access to what is installed on a computer should be simple and easy, not a keyboard and mouse assault course. Getting to applications should not be akin to getting the Masterchief off of the ‘Pillar of Autumn’.

I will be using Windows 7 full time from the point when the RTM is released, but I will be doing it under protest. I am being forced into using it or lag behind or face the prospect of a making a complete platform change.

In my case, getting me to change to Windows 7 will be a shallow victory, not that anybody will care but me.
