SDS - welcome (focused) betatesters!!!

Hey guys!

There was quite silence around SDS for a while... However right now we are beginning with Wiki and first betatests!

Please, ignore the layout of pages - no time at all available to work on it :(

What I want to do know is following. There ARE many bugs in SDS. I know about them. I want to use “focused” betatest - that mean to debug one part before moving to another.

Right now I am trying to debug SDS “out of box” - it means basic installation and running manual test.

If you go to SDS Wiki, you can find build 0007 in downloads section. At bottom there is first Feature test.

Please try it and let me know about results...

P.S.: This is FEATURE betatest. You can try anything you want in SDS. Just dont report it now. Write notes about it and let me know when that feature will be focused ;) Please report only issues related to FBT1 (feature betatest 1).

hi, everything runs properly except restart.
i saw GUI on target machine but computer was not restarted.

source PC: Win XP SP2
target PC: Win XP SP1

Ahoj!

The command for restarting computer is
shutdown -r -f -t 0

If it works manually, it should also work with SDS...

Can you try it?

running command manually works properly.
also running command \\PCname\PackageStore\Commands\Restart_Computer\Package.cmd works.

but with SDS restart does not work. (tried 3 times)

in that case try command

SDSManual /operation:Command /AllowDefaultPackages:No /Machine:<ComputerName> /Package:Restart_Computer

i tried it but computer was not restarted.

task at1 was scheduled and runs properly ( i saw GUI for a while ), scheduled task was deleted. that is all, no restart.

Ok, please go to http://sds.imatic.cz - we added BugTrack today, so we can (for future reference) try to solve that problem there.

Generally your problem is (probably) not with SDS itself, but with client (SDSClient.exe). GUI should stand on target computer for some time - the Sleep command is in fact forcing computer to wait few seconds...

So try to create bug there and provide as much information as possible.

BTW Sorry for late response - I wasnt able to get through that stupid human proof technology :((((
