There are dozens of ways to use Microsoft Office Live Workspace for work, school, and home projects! The documents can be saved and accessed from any computer. Feedbacks and/or comments can be gathered within a project. Meeting agenda, minutes, and action items can also be shared with colleagues, classmates, or family. You can even save documents to your workspace directly from Word on your PC.

Visual Studio Team System basics training - VPC image (5.2 GB)

A complete, self-paced training course with a VPC image containing Team System software is available for developers to download. You can get familiarize with Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) by downloading the 5.2 GB RAR files, extract the VPC image and training content (labs and demos), and access the VPC image using Virtual PC 2004 / 2007, or Virtual Server 2005.

The self-study course provides basics information on VSTS. There are 7 modules in this training: Overview, Team Foundation Administration, Architect, Developer, Tester, Project Manager, Team Explorer. Attendees can get a brief refresher and/or overview on VSTS, and understand the architecture and capabilities of both the client SKUs as well as Team Foundation Server (TFS).

(Note that the VPC image works correctly to a date of January 1, 2005, and you will need to ensure the host machine clocks are set to two weeks prior to the expiration date.)

After uninstalling all applications related to Microsoft Office 2007 Beta 2 Technical Refresh (B2TR), the following error prompts during the installation of Microsoft Office 2007 RTM.

===== Setup Errors =====

Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error(s):
The 2007 Microsoft Office system does not support upgrading from a prerelease version of the 2007 Microsoft Office system. You must first uninstall any prerelease versions of the 2007 Microsoft Office system products and associated technologies.
Correct the issue(s) listed above and re-run setup.

*** You have been WARNED!

You will need to uninstall all of the following applications before proceeding to install Office 2007 RTM.
- Microsoft Office Professional 2007 (Beta), Groove, OneNote, InfoPath, Visio, SharePoint Designer, Project, etc...

- 2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS (Beta)

- Try to install Office 2007 RTM. If it prompts the same setup errors (of prerelease version), use Windows Installer CleanUp Utility to check whether any of the Office 2007 related products have not been installed, and try to remove the programs using {*** Add or Remove Programs ***} first.

- If the RTM setup still prompts the same setup errors, use {*** Windows Installer CleanUp Utility ***} to remove the related products. I have resolved my setup problem using the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, and thus, do *not* need to proceed to the following step.

- If the RTM setup still prompts the same setup errors, follow the steps in {manually removing the Office 2007 beta}.

===== Preparation for the installation of Office 2007 RTM =====

After the installation of Office 2007 RTM, you are suggested to install {Windows Desktop Search 3 RTM for Windows XP}, to install {PDF & XPS add-in for Office 2007}, and to fix {Building Blocks issues: to delete the file "%appdata%\Microsoft\Document Building Blocks\Building Blocks.dotx" *only* when you have *not* modified the Building Blocks content (e.g., galleries)}. ===== Description =====

After the installation of Office 2007 Beta 2 Technical Refresh (B2TR), error 2711 will occur if you try to install any of the Office 2007 **Beta 2** products. To resolve the problem, you will need to uninstall all Office 2007 applications, uninstall Expression Web Beta 1 (if you have Expression Web installed), and use Windows Installer CleanUp Utility to remove all Office 2007 entries. Here are the steps that you will need to follow.

~ Uninstall **all** Office 2007 applications (Access, Excel, InfoPath, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, SharePoint Designer, Visio, Project, OneNote, Groove).

~ Uninstall Expression Web Beta 1 (if you have installed this application).

~ (If you cannot install Office 2007 Beta 2) use Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to clean-up all Office related entries.

~ Install **all** of the Office 2007 Beta 2 products.

~ Install B2TR for your Office products. Make sure that you install all Office **Beta 2** products before applying Beta 2 Technical Refresh (B2TR). You will *not* be able to install Beta 2 products after applying B2TR.
