Is it really Microsoft spyware

I've been running Microsoft Spyware Beta 1 for some time now, and I'm perfectly happy with it. I just noticed, when the Spyware is open, there's a note in the lower right corner "Message Center" that reads:

"This version of Microsoft Antispywear expires in 90 days. Please contact Microsoft for an updated version"

I've been everywhere, and can't find a version other than Beta 1 that I have installed. Does anybody know where ther is an update for this??!

I don't have the exact details, but they will release an update before the current beta expires.

people have been getting updated versions of antispyware, exp dec 2005, most are not, mine expires july 2005 and messege center reads to contact Microsoft for an updated version, yet the only one availabel ins the one that expires in july, the new version .... "If you are running the Microsoft Antispyware Beta software to fight against trojan and spyware programs you probably know that the first version will expire 31 July 2005.

This morning I was surprised to see a notification on my desktop informing of an updated version being available. I immediately downloaded this update and installed. The new version is Microsoft AntiSpyware 1.0.613 and it now expires in 31 December 2005. The latest spyware definition file available is version 5727.

Interesting I talked to other people and no one noticed this notification, and when I tried to look for updates on my Tablet PC it did not report any.

Perhaps Microsoft is releasing this update to small number of users to avoid high network traffic?
