Altiris Lays Off 5-7-10%???
Remember back in October of last year when I stated that Altiris was becoming less of a competitor to Microsoft. Well, it appears that I was right. Although the Utah-based company is only publicly reporting 5-7% layoffs (what the hell is up with that? They don't know exactly how many were laid off???), an insider that survived the cuts has reported a 10% reduction. Regardless, it proves the point that they're position in the enterprise management space is continuing to weaken. Personally, I look forward to the next round (with the exception of my source).
