Starting Off the New Year
My apologies. I have been very lazy about blogging of late. Not that I don’t have stuff to blog about though. Hopefully I’ll be able to catch up a bit. At least I’m doing so during the first month of the new year, barely.
I’d like to wish all my readers a very Happy New Year. I know it seems to be starting off a bit on the shaky side but let’s hope it improves for us all. I was very pleased and proud to be honored by Microsoft once again awarding me MVP for Dynamics CRM for the fourth time. There are now 31 of us in the world by my count. I was also pleased to see that Mike Snyder and Jim Steger, Sonoma Partners, were awarded MVP as well. Mike and Jim are the authors of several CRM books including Working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 (and more recently 4.0).
This is also my 20th year in business as an independent computer consultant. I founded Lentz Computer Services in December of 1989 after 7 years with Electronic Data Systems (EDS). When I first started my business I was amazed at how the computer industry and in particular hardware and software had changed in the previous 10 years and marveled at how it would change in the next 10 years. Now 20 years later I am absolutely amazed at how far we’ve come. And it’s still a young industry!
I’ll try to be better at blogging moving forward. I have lots of stuff back logged so you will at least see a flurry of stuff in the near future.
Happy New Year!
