How to install iOS 6
Now that iOS 6 is officially released, how do you get this new version on your iOS device? Just follow these easy steps:
- Make sure your device is plugged in to charge. The download is about 800MB and it could take a while!
- Open the Settings App
- Tap General
- Tap Software Update. This displays a panel showing information about iOS 6.
- Tap Download and Install and you will see a progress indicator that estimates how long the download will take (mine was 45 minutes):
