I have been using this product after successive disappointments from McAfee and Symantec in their performance. Plus, for many home users, all the backup and tuning features were a plus. I have many family members that don't have the desire to spend time learning how to backup their data - I could get them turned onto OneCare, buy a USB hard disk, and tell them to make sure their computers were left on overnight on a certain day of the week and OneCare would backup and tune up their systems automatically. One of the best features was just how OneCare "knew" what was user data and what wasn't!

So Microsoft's ideal solution is to take away the automatable features and just provide antimalware protection? If they were smart, they would rebrand it and make the entire package free. Frustrating.
