It also leaves the infected mobile device vulnerable by allowing silent installation of malware. The trojan modifies the infected device’s security setting to allow unsigned applications to be installed without a warning."

Daylight Saving Time (DST)

This time, traveling to the USA requires an additional step for me because I now have this very nice HTC smartphone. The US Congress decided that DST starts at March 11th, 2007 and ends at November 4th, 2007 and again in subsequent years. That's three weeks earlier than here in Europe. To make sure your appointments on your Windows Mobile devices are accurate, you’ll need to update your mobile device(s).

There are actually three things you need to do. The first one you probably already done because this one came with the critical updates of last month for the Windows Operating System:

2007 Time Zone Update for Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

Outlook Time Zone Update Tool

Daylight Saving Time 2007 Update Tool for Windows Mobile

Check for more information at Windows Mobile or at the Daylight Saving Time Help and Support Center.

Windows Mobile 6

Just a few weeks after I got my own smartphone, the HTC S620, Windows Mobile 6 was released:

With Windows Mobile 6 mobile workers can:

Access the company address list and add contacts via Outlook, have mail sent directly by Microsoft Direct Push Technology, and manage multiple e-mail accounts and mail folders - just like Outlook on the PC.

View and edit Office attachments and now get access to files on your corporate file shares and Sharepoint sites.

Enjoy the advantages of Windows Live, including single sign-on to Windows Live services, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Mail, Hotmail, and Windows Live Search.

Get increased control, security, and greater interoperability with Exchange Server and other IT infrastructure that helps businesses efficiently deploy, manage and secure Windows Mobile devices.

MVP Jaap van Ekris wrote a very nice review and is published at: Modern Nomads.
