I use Google's I'm Feeling Lucky button like so:

Sort of has the same effect as your URL splicing but is more robust to mispellings, etc. (at the risk of going to an irrelevant page).

@Martin: I'm afraid this isn't really the place to ask questions about installing Flash. I suggest you look at the support section on Adobe's web site, and tell their support folk exactly what happens when you try to install it.

I hope you can help me Jon; I'm new to this and totally lost as to where to go! I keep getting the update to Flash Player 10 trying to download, but it is never successful. Is it possible the update was put on there already as i had a professional load updates via the windows network and how do i verify and correct this? I'm probably in the wrong place again!

Yup, that's one of the plans - I haven't started putting together an update, but I have hopes for a second edition which is basically just corrections, the removal of the current chapter 13, a new part 4 on C# 4, and then a new "what's next" chapter.

The are other plans for other things too, but I hope you'll forgive me if I keep quiet on them for the moment :)

@Hugo: Point taken. This wasn't entirely written idly though - I'm basically hoping to be able to link to this post next time there's a relevant question.

The truth of the matter is that I *am* doing writing (or at least editing) - but not of blog articles.

At some stage soon I must really delve into C# 4 properly... I'm sure I'll have plenty of articles to write then.
